Your privacy is a top priority for us at Cribbo Technologies Inc. (“Cribbo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to being transparent and responsible in how we handle your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from our users (“you”), why we collect it, how we use it, and how we protect it. This policy applies to all users, including tenants and landlords, of our website (www.rentcribbo.com) and all related services.
By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
For the purposes of this policy, “personal information” means any information about an identifiable individual. This includes things like your name, email address, financial information, and rental history.
We limit the collection of personal information to what is necessary for the purposes identified below. We will not collect, use, or share your information for any other purpose without your consent.
For Tenants: When you use our service to create a portable Tenant Verification Report (Cribbo Profile), we collect the following information at your direction:
Identity & Contact Information: Such as your full name, email address, and phone number. We use this to create your profile, deliver your completed report, and communicate with you about our service.
Tenant Verification Information: This is the sensitive information required to generate your report. This information is only collected with your explicit consent and includes:
Credit Information: Your credit report and score, which we obtain from a third-party credit bureau on your behalf.
Income & Employment Information: Such as pay stubs, employment letters, or financial data from secure third-party services like Plaid, used to verify your financial standing.
Rental & Employment History: Including contact information for your previous landlords and employers, which we use to conduct reference checks.
The sole purpose of collecting this information is to create a comprehensive and accurate Tenant Verification Report for you.
For Landlords: When you use our services to market a property, we collect:

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information from your device.
Device and Usage Information: We collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, and how you interact with our site (e.g., pages visited, time on site).
Purpose: We use this information to operate and maintain the security of our website, to analyze trends and improve our services, and to ensure our platform is working correctly for different types of devices and browsers.
Information from Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, which are small text files stored on your device, and other similar technologies.
How We Use Them:
Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the website to function, for example, to keep you logged in to your account.
Performance and Analytics Cookies: These help us understand how you use our site, so we can improve it. We use third-party services like Google Analytics for this purpose. The information collected is aggregated and generally anonymized.
Advertising Cookies: We may work with third-party advertising partners (like Google or Meta/Facebook) to show you relevant ads for RentCribbo on other websites after you have visited our site. This is often called “retargeting.”

For Legal and Safety Reasons: We may be required to share information to comply with a legal obligation (like a court order), to protect our rights and property, or to prevent illegal activity. We will only do so where legally required.
After the retention period for personal information has expired (for example, 120 days for tenant verification documents), we may anonymize and aggregate the data. We do this by removing all personal identifiers and grouping the information into broad statistical categories.
Purpose: We use this anonymized data for internal purposes, such as generating statistical reports, analyzing rental market trends, and improving our services. This data cannot be used to re-identify any individual.
We do not keep your personal information forever. We retain it only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or to meet legal and business record-keeping requirements.

We use a combination of administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. This includes measures like data encryption and strict access controls within our organization.
